On Tuesday, June 7, Anatoly Aksakov, head of the State Duma Committee on Financial Markets introduced a bill banning the use of “digital financial assets” (DFA) as a means of payment for any type of financial transactions.
“The ruble is the official monetary unit (currency) of the Russian Federation. This article prohibits the introduction of other monetary units or monetary surrogates in the territory of the Russian Federation”, – says the bill.
The document makes a reservation that the ban can be lifted in cases stipulated by federal laws
CFA exchange operators will be obliged to refuse transactions where it is possible to use digital assets as a means of payment.
