The filed bill, numbered 1275, “authorizes state agencies to accept cryptocurrency as a method of payment for providing public services.”
The bill was filed by Democratic State Senator Sidney Kamlager-Dav.
This month, Colorado Governor Jared Polis promised to allow state residents to pay taxes in cryptocurrency.
Similar bills have been filed in Arizona, Wyoming and Illinois.
