American Bank customers will now be able to buy Bitcoin and Ethereum through a new cryptocurrency trading offering provided by the bank.
The institution will use a solution from Bakkt for this service. The service will be launched in the second quarter of 2022.
In addition, American Bank intends to use Bakkt training materials to provide cost-effective access to cryptocurrencies.
“Research has shown that customers would prefer to access cryptocurrency from their bank,” said Bakkt Chief Financial Officer Sheela Zemlin.
