Banco Galicia, Argentina’s largest private bank, announced that it will allow its customers to buy cryptocurrency.
Banco Galicia’s investment option now includes the ability to buy bitcoins, Ethereum, USDC and Ripple (XRP).
The service Banco Galicia works in partnership with the cryptocompany Lirium.
Lirium said that the company is also working with four Argentine financial institutions that plan to launch a cryptocurrency trading service in the near future. In addition, Lirium is working on similar integrations in Brazil and Mexico.
Banco Galicia is owned by Grupo Financiero Galicia, listed on the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange and on Nasdaq under the ticker GGAL.
