Avalanche’s core development team has submitted a proposal to ApeCoin DAO to migrate the Otherside meta-universe to Avalanche’s blockchain.
The proposal is still in the early stages of discussion.
The ApeCoin DAO is the governing body for the ApeCoin token to be used in the Otherside metaclass universe by Yuga Labs.
Last month, Yuga Labs complained about Ethereum network congestion and a surge in fees during the NFT sale to Otherside.
The company expressed interest in building its own blockchain to meet scalability requirements.
“We propose that ApeCoin DAO launch Otherside on Avalanche’s subnet to support the future growth of the Otherside community through faster transaction processing, higher throughput, greater scalability and reduced gas fees,” Avalanche said in a statement.
