Binance has suspended the withdrawal of LUNA and UST tokens due to the high volume of pending withdrawal transactions caused by network congestion.
“Binance will reopen the withdrawal of these tokens as soon as we believe the network is stable and the volume of pending withdrawals has decreased. We will not notify users of any further developments,” the company added.
This news comes amid a period of notable turbulence in the Terra UST algorithmic stabelcoin, which has lost its peg to the U.S. dollar several times in the past few days.
According to Binance, UST fell back to a low of $0.6065 on Monday.
Stablecoin later recovered to about $0.85.
