According to Bloomberg, the European Union (EU) is close to an agreement on the regulation of cryptocurrencies, which will set common rules for 27 countries.
The publication said the agreement could be reached by the end of June.
Primarily, the EU is discussing investor protection and financial stability after the collapse of TerraUSD (UST). Discussions are currently underway in Parliament on how to limit the use of stablocoins.
Also according to Bloomberg sources, the EU is pushing to consider the environmental impact of bitcoin mining.
