Former Alameda Research CEO Caroline Ellison will only be prosecuted for criminal tax violations and can be released immediately after paying $250,000 bail.
A plea agreement between Ellison and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York was released Dec. 21.
According to the document, the former Alameda executive will be acquitted of all serious charges, which were estimated at up to 110 years in prison.
