The Coinbase exchange has updated its app and integrated a browser that gives users access to Ethereum-based decentralized applications (DApps). The feature will be available to a limited number of U.S. users.
A statement from Coinbase’s director of product management, Rishi Dean, said users will now be able to begin trading NFT, making transactions on decentralized exchanges (DEX) and interacting with decentralized finance lending (DeFi) protocols.
Along with the mobile browser, the exchange has added a hot wallet that customers can use to exchange funds.
The Coinbase hot wallet has a shared storage setup. This means that the private key for the wallet will be held by the company and can be saved personally by the user.
