German bank Commerzbank announced that it has applied for a license from the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) to hold cryptocurrencies.
Specifically, a Commerzbank spokesperson said the bank applied in the first quarter of 2022.
Commerzbank intends to offer cryptocurrency storage services primarily to institutional customers.
