The court said the Binance US and Voyager Digital deal must go through and rejected the U.S. government’s offer to stay the proceedings pending appeal.
Earlier, U.S. Attorney Damian Williams argued that the deal should be amended or reversed because it would help Voyager and its employees escape charges of violating securities law.
However, the judge said the government was misrepresenting reality and the long wait would harm Voyager’s customers.
The deal was supposed to take place on March 15 and has now been postponed until March 20.
