NFT project Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) reported that its Discord servers were hacked, resulting in the theft of nearly 200 ETH ($357,000).
The Discord community manager’s account was also hacked. The creators of the project warned that the account could be used for phishing attacks.
“Discord doesn’t work for web3 communities. We need a better platform that puts security first,” said Yuga Labs co-founder Gordon Goner.
In April, the creators of the project reported that attackers had hacked their Instagram, at which time the criminals managed 91 NFTs worth $2.8 million.
