According to Arab News, Dubai-based airline Emirates will use bitcoin as a means of payment to promote meta-universe and blockchain-based projects.
Also speaking at the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai, Emirates Chief Operating Officer Adel Ahmed Al Reda said that the airline will begin hiring dedicated employees for this purpose.
On April 14, the company issued a press release announcing that it will turn the pavilion that was built for Expo 2020 into an innovation center with a focus on creating new projects focused on meta-universes, Web3 and NFT.
