The Thai energy company owned by billionaire Sarath Ratanawadi today announced an investment in BNB tokens and a strategic investment in Binance US.
According to the filing, Gulf Energy Development Public Company Limited invested in “serial preferred stock” issued by BAM Trading Services Inc. which is the operator of the Binance US exchange.
According to a separate filing dated April 18, Gulf Energy also used a subsidiary of Gulf International Investment Limited to invest an undisclosed amount in BNB tokens.
On April 13, Gulf Innova entered into a shareholder agreement with Binance to create a crypto exchange.
The companies also announced their intention to work with local regulators.
