Mining company Hive Blockchain has deployed its first devices based on Intel Blockscale chips.
The distinctive feature of the chip is that it allows mining companies to design devices according to their own specifications and improve the efficiency of the miner as a whole.
What the efficiency of Hive’s Intel-based miners is not yet known. However, the company has already installed more than 1,500 of these machines at sites in Canada and Sweden, and has reported that the devices have reached their targets.
