Ilon Musk said he has put the process of buying Twitter on hold until the social network provides more information regarding the number of fake accounts.
“The Twitter deal has been temporarily suspended pending details confirming calculations that spam/fake accounts actually represent less than 5% of users,” Musk wrote.
He cited a Reuters report that said Twitter estimates that fake or spam accounts represent less than 5% of the social network’s monetized daily active users.
