First Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of Russia Ksenia Yudaeva said that the regulator has softened its stance on cryptocurrencies and is not against the use of cryptocurrencies “in international transactions and international financial infrastructure.
Previously, the Central Bank was categorically against any use of cryptocurrencies.
Recently, the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation posted a revised version of the bill on digital assets. The document proposed the use of cryptocurrencies in international settlements.
This decision was made against the background of the sanctions imposed on Russia.
