Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) announced their partnership with American blockchain company Akamai, to commercialize payments based on blockchain technology, thus this will help them process up to 1 million transactions per second. In addition, the new platform will perform payment within 2 seconds or less. It is important to note, that MUFG does not want to use public blockchain, such as BTC, but instead is focusing on a private infrastructure.
