Developer MixBytes has put forward a proposal that says it will stop developing and providing technical support for the Lido liquid-stacking protocols on the Polkadot and Kusama networks, effective August 1, 2023.
“The decision was made because of several issues, including market conditions, protocol growth, limited capacity and alignment of priorities,” said MixBytes product director and proposer Costa Zherebtsov.
Zherebtsov proposed suspending acceptance of new DOTs and KSMs for liquid stacking beginning March 15 and automatically canceling token stacking in June.
Lido is the world’s largest DeFi protocol with a TVL of $9 billion.
