According to CoinDesk, Instagram plans to integrate NFT based on Ethereum, Polygon, Solana and Flow.
The pilot launch will take place as early as Monday. The test project will involve a small group of users from the US.
The publication also reports that Instagram will support widely used cryptocurrencies such as MetaMask. By connecting their wallets, users will be able to confirm ownership of NFTs, show them in their profiles and acknowledge the authors who created them.
Instagram will not charge users for posting and sharing NFTs.
The social network’s user base has more than a billion monthly active users.
