To counteract capital outflows during martial law, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has restricted certain currency transactions, which also apply to cryptocurrencies.
Thus, individuals will be able to buy assets that are convertible into cash and belong to the transactions “quasi cash” only for their own foreign currency. For example, it will not be possible to buy cryptocurrency for hryvnia and thus withdraw the currency. For dollars it is possible.
The limit for such operations is 100 thousand UAH per month in equivalent.

The corresponding limit also applies to cross-border P2P transfers. The changes do not apply to the use of payment cards abroad and in Ukraine for settlements to pay for goods, works and services.

The “quasi cash” transactions include replenishment of electronic wallets, brokerage or forex accounts, payment of traveler’s checks, purchase of virtual assets, etc.
