According to the research done by the ICORating, a total of 827 ICO projects raised around $8.3 bln in Q2 of 2018, which is a 151% growth compared to Q1. Nevertheless, most projects failed to raise $100,000 or above and only 7% of them managed to stay on the market. The quality of the projects has also declined, as more than half of them failed in 2018. The reason for this may be that ICO organisers launch the campaigns based on the idea, without an actual working product.
