It is reported, that German bank WEG Bank gained a crypto trading and custody license in Estonia. According to the report, besides that bank is also aiming to receive a securities trading and custody license in Germany. As per the report, the WEG Bank thinks that working out of a premium regulatory environment is one of the key assets.

The U.S., Switzerland, and Singapore were ranked as the top three “most favorable” countries for ICO in a recent report of Crypto Finance Conference. Russia, Estonia and the UK are ranked as some of the most promising countries for crypto project funding. The research was based on publicly available data of the top 100 ICOs by country in terms of funds raised and numbers of projects launched.

 

Estonia scaled down its plan to create a national cryptocurrency after it drew criticism from ECB President Mario Draghi and local banking authorities. Draghi’s position was supported by Governor of the Bank of Estonia Ardo Hansson, who complained about “misleading reports” on Estcoin from government agencies. Although Kaspar Korjus, the author of the Estcoin plan, said that details of “community Estcoin” are still being analyzed for potential benefits. He added that Estcoin “would definitely not be a national cryptocurrency. Estonia, for now, is one of the most technologically savvy states in eastern Europe.
