Cryptocurrency exchange Currency was subjected to a large-scale DDoS attack after the company reported that it stopped serving users from Russia. This was reported by the owner of the company Victor Prokopenya. He added that Russian hackers were behind the attack.
“We have faced attacks before, as have all financial companies, but the scale of the last one was unbelievable – ten times bigger than we have ever seen,” said Prokopenya.
Currency earlier said it would stop serving customers from Russia as of April 12.

Prokopenya also condemned Binance and Coinbase for the exchanges continuing to operate in Russia.
“Everyone in the financial community should do their best and take a principled stand. You must condemn Russia’s actions in the strongest possible terms. This is not some political issue like Brexit or Trump; this is a terrible war. There is no way to approve of it-no one approves of it except the hostages of Russian television,” he concluded.
