El Salvador’s President Nayib Buquele said representatives from 44 countries will meet Monday in El Salvador to discuss finance and bitcoin.
“Tomorrow, 32 central banks and 12 financial authorities (44 countries) will meet in El Salvador to discuss financial inclusion, the digital economy, non-banking banking, bitcoin deployment and its benefits in our country,” Bukele wrote.
According to The Block, the country will be visited by central banks and authorities mainly from developing countries, including Nigeria, Egypt, Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Paraguay, Angola, Guinea and Madagascar.
The specific agenda of the meeting is not yet known.
