Three Arrows Capital co-founder Su Zhu admitted that his “supercycle” price thesis and prediction that bitcoin could reach $2.5 million were wrong.
“Unfortunately, the supercycle price thesis was wrong, but the cryptocurrency will still thrive and change the world every day,” he said on Twitter today.
The supercycle theory was put forward by Zhu and suggested that the cryptocurrency market would gradually rise over a market cycle, avoiding a sustained bear market.
On the UpOnly podcast in February 2021, he suggested that the price of bitcoin could rise to $2.5 million.
