Hardware cryptocurrency wallet maker Trezor has launched an investigation into a possible data leak that could have compromised user email addresses and other personal information.
Several Twitter users warned of an ongoing phishing email campaign specifically targeting Trezor users through their registered addresses.
Users received an email about downloading the app from the domain “trezorus,” which is different from Trezor’s official domain name, “trezorio.”
Trezor suspects that the compromised email addresses belong to a list of users who subscribed to a newsletter from U.S. service provider Mailchimp.
Trezor advises users not to click on links from unofficial sources.
