The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) has released a paper saying that cryptocurrencies and stablenecoins could significantly increase the availability of financial services in countries in Africa, where most of the population does not have “bank accounts.”

The UNDP also claims that cryptocurrencies can protect the savings of households and companies from rising inflation.
