In a series of tweets dated Feb. 13, trademark attorney Michael Condoudis reported that Victoria’s Secret has filed four applications to register digital collectibles and media developed using blockchain technology. The company has also filed similar applications to register online apparel and media to be used in virtual worlds.
The trademark registrations imply that Victoria’s Secret plans to operate in a metaclassical universe, selling virtual products and services.
Last week, McDonald’s submitted applications for virtual reality restaurants.
