A user nicknamed Shl0ms used pyrotechnics to blow up a Lamborghini Huracan (worth $250,000) and turned it into a collection of 999 pieces NFT. He attributed his act to a protest made in the name of art and against getting rich quick.

“NFT technology is incredibly promising, you can do so many good things with it, but you do so many terrible things with it,” he said.
A used, high-mileage Lamborghini Huracan was blown up on Feb. 2, 2022, at an unnamed location in the American desert.
For this, the artist’s team spent two weeks there before testing the explosions. Before blowing up the sports car, pyrotechnicians blew up another car. The licensed explosives engineer said it was his most challenging job.
“Lambo is the epitome of a way for those in the cryptocurrency business to quickly enrich themselves at the expense of others,” the artist stated.
An auction of the NFT collection is scheduled for February 25.
