The Discord server of the largest NFT collection in the world, Bored Ape Yacht Club, was hacked today. This was announced by the development team on Twitter.
A hacker successfully posted a phishing link on the Mutant Ape Kennel Club channel. According to analytics company PeckShield, the attacker managed to steal NFT Mutant Ape Yacht Club 8662.
The team warned users not to follow the links in Discord.
“Don’t check any of the Discord links now. The webhook in our Discord was briefly hacked. We noticed it right away, but please know that we’re not doing any April 1st stealth checks/airdrops, etc. Right now, other Discord feeds are also under attack,” the developers reported.
Users have warned of a similar vulnerability on the server of another popular NFT collection, Doodles. The project team has yet to comment.
