The University of São Paulo (USP) will conduct research in the meta universe to understand how the new virtual world affects user interaction.
The study will involve groups studying 3D modeling, human psychology and behavior, and the effectiveness of virtual and augmented reality devices.
Marcos A. Simplicio, a professor at USP, said the university has obtained the NFT of a rare piece of land in the United States of Mars (USM) metavirtual universe, which is being developed in collaboration with other educational institutions.
“USP is the first university in Latin America to partner with USM to support the construction of its meta-universe,” Simplicio said.
The university will also collaborate with researchers from the University Blockchain Research Initiative (UBRI), which is sponsored by Ripple.
