Today China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released cryptocurrency ranks and ETH takes the first place in the list. The blockchain projects were assessed based on three criteria: innovation, technology, and application. Other tokens in the top five are Steem, Lisk, NEO, and Komodo. The bitcoin community was outraged by the ranking of Bitcoin at 13, as bitcoin has one of the most active open source development communities in the global cryptocurrency sector and it has developed innovative technologies like Confidential Transactions (CT), Bulletproofs, and Lightning Network.
