A group of investors from the Northern District of California has filed a class action lawsuit against the Binance US exchange.
The suit alleges that Binance sold investors unregistered securities in the form of LUNA and UST tokens, thereby misleading them.
The lawsuit was filed by law firms Roche Freedman and Dontzin Nagy & Fleissig on behalf of several investors who lost their money due to the collapse of LUNA and UST.
The lawsuit alleges that Binance US is not registered as a broker in the U.S. and violates U.S. securities laws. The plaintiffs in the case accused the crypto-exchange of knowingly promoting an unprofitable project.
The document says that the crypto-exchange not only promoted Terra ecosystem tokens, but also supported the relaunch of the LUNA 2.0 network.
