Principal developer of meme-cryptocurrency Dogecoin Ross Nicholl said he is leaving the project, citing “overwhelming” stress and a potential conflict of interest.
He also added that he would remain as an advisor to the Dogecoin Foundation.
“There’s another challenge with my primary employer moving into the blockchain space, which leads to a risk of conflict of interest if I remain a director,” he added.
Nicholl now works as a software engineer at Google.
