Mining difficulty on the bitcoin network hits a record high

Home / Mining difficulty on the bitcoin network hits a record high

The bitcoin network has mined 19 million BTC. In turn, the network’s mining complexity reached an all-time high of 28.587 trillion (T).
The complexity of the bitcoin network correlates with the computational power required to mine the blocks, which currently requires an estimated hashing rate of 201.84 EH/s.
The higher hashing rate provides resistance to attacks.
With only 2 million BTC left to mine as rewards and the number of miners increasing, the bitcoin network will become stronger and more resilient.
The remaining 2 million BTC (out of 21 million) will be mined by about 2140.
