Popular cryptoanalytics sites have suffered a phishing attack

Home / Popular cryptoanalytics sites have suffered a phishing attack

Cryptocurrency websites Etherscan, CoinGecko, DeFi Pulse and others reported cases of malicious pop-ups asking users to connect their MetaMask wallets.
The phishing attack comes from a domain displaying the NFT logo of the Bored Ape Yacht Club collection.
At the time of publication, the site linked to the domain has already been disabled.
“The situation is most likely caused by a malicious Coinzilla ad script. We have disabled it,” said CoinGecko founder Bobby Ong.
In its tweet, Etherscan urged users not to confirm any transactions that appear on the website.
