In 2017 South Korea became world’s largest crypto market. The total commissions earned by cryptocurrency exchanges last year was 700 bln won ($648 mln), compared to 8 bln won in 2016. According to the Yonhap report, the leading exchange platform in the country is Upbit, which accounts for 52.9% of all South Korean crypto market. The next on the list are Bithumb ($182 mln in 2017), Coinone ($73 mln) and Korbit ($62 mln).
