Singapore based company Tangem issued the Bitcoin bills. However, they are not made from paper, but are in fact hardware cold wallets, with Samsung’s S3D350A chip integrated in them. The new Bitcoin bills have a certain fixed denomination number and can be physically used for payment. The technology used to develop such bills is completely secured from external interference and against all vectors of attack at hardware and software levels. Another advantage is that, unlike in online transactions, the use of Bitcoin banknotes is not commissioned. At press time, the banknotes with face value of 0.01 and 0.05 BTC are available for purchase for $96 and $480 respectively.
