The service, called Telegram Passport, will be developed for the future blockchain platform TON. Telegram Passport will be identifying users, so they can also use the services of company’s partners. The service will gather users’ passport, driving license, bank statements and other documents data, including their photo. Access to the personal data will be protected by two-step authentication, and Telegram and its partners will only have the access with the authorisation of the user. It has been reported that payment system Qiwi has already obtained access to Telegram Passport technologies.
